In Vitshumbi, Binza and Birambizo, groupings located in Rutshuru territory, at about 72 km from Goma, in the eastern part of the Democratic Republic of Congo, life has become unbearable for the inhabitants. First in Vitshumbi, strong winds took way roofs of more than 100 houses in September 13, 2018, causing three deaths of 3, 5 and 8 years old children. In Binza, acute malnutrition is reported for less than 5 years old children and pregnant women. And Birambizo is cut off from the world two months ago after the collapse of the Rukuru Bridge built during colonial times.
